The Ultimate FoodBlog Bucket List: May 😎

The Ultimate FoodBlog Bucket List: May 😎

Can you believe it’s already the fifth month of the year? It’s a-may-zing how fast time flies. Malta is getting sunnier and the days are getting longer. Well, not really, but it’s sunnier for longer so it feels like we have more time to do things we enjoy. 🥰

Wondering what you can do this month that will satisfy your foodie soul? Check out some of our ideas. 👇

Watch a food-related series or movie

I can never put into words how much I enjoy watching series, documentaries or movies that are food-related. If you’re the same and you don’t know what to watch next, we’ve put together a list and split it into two: check out part 1 here and part 2 here. 🎥

Eat at Tribe

This hip new restaurant in Valletta opened its doors a couple of months ago and it hasn’t stopped wowing us. Whether it’s a killer breakfast, a super juicy burger, a killer carbonara, or any other dish you fancy from Tribe’s menu, everything is built uniquely, made with love, and tastes incredible. 🤤

Celebrate Brisket Day

Brisket Day will be happening on the 28th of May, and I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty excited for this one. Whether you want to try cooking your own brisket at home a go, or dine out for a killer brisket dish, this day should definitely be celebrated! If you’re choosing the latter, though, we’ll be working on a list of places where you can get an amazing brisket dish in Malta, so keep an eye out! 👀

Try out a plant-based menu item

There are so many incredibly delicious dishes that are plant-based out there. A number of restaurants in Malta are providing plant-based options on their menu and believe me, they’re so delicious you won’t even miss meat. If you want to try some new stuff out, check out our favourite plant-based dishes in Malta here. 😋

Buy a new cookbook

Looking to up your cookbook game? I love cookbooks, whether they’re full of recipes or full of food-related stories. I’m always looking for new ones to add to my collection, so if you’re doing the same thing, check out our list of favourites here. 😍

Try a new hot sauce

I absolutely love hot sauces. I can never have enough of them and I’m always filling up my fridge with new hot sauces. My favourite hot sauces that are made locally have to be the ones from Ferment Island. On the other hand, for some international spicy tastes, I tend to head over to Beer Head. So if you’re looking to spice up your life, check both of them out! 🌶️
