Breaking News: Restaurants Will Not Reopen on the 11th April.
It's been over a month since the new restrictions which forced restaurants to close down were set in place. We've all been waiting eagerly for the 11th April since it was supposed to be the end of Malta's partial lockdown. But we might not be going back to normal just yet. 💔
Restaurants will not reopen for now.
Unfortunately, restaurants will not, in fact, be reopening after the 11th April. With the cases being quite low lately, we may have all been secretly hoping that we could all go and have a nice dinner at our favourite restaurant very soon. 😔
Vouchers will be back!
Robert Abela also stated that vouchers will be reissued once all shops reopen and services resume to help promote local businesses.
But, don't worry, it's not the end of the world just yet. And if staying inside for a little while longer is what we need to hopefully make things better, then it's all for the best! 🤞
What else can you do?
Taking our social life down a notch may give us a very good excuse to focus on ourselves. That "me-time" you've been longing for? It's the perfect time for it. If not, you can still do some things with another person. Here's a list of stuff you can do while restrictions are still in place: ✌️
- Pack a picnic for 2
- Go for a hike
- Meditate
- Cook a full meal for yourself (or for you and a loved one)
- Get take out that isn't fast-food
- Eat a meal on the roof, out in the balcony, or by the sea
- Cook something you've never cooked before
