The best seafood starters on the island! 🐟

The best seafood starters on the island! 🐟

Is there anything more pleasing in life than sipping on white wine and sharing an appetising seafood starter with a friend? We know, we wish we were doing just that right now too, but with so many good options to choose from, where to do we start from? 🤔

Ocean Basket

Ocean Basket is easily packed on a sunny day! It's a great place to visit with your friends, colleagues or even your family. Take in the calming views of the ocean while nibbling on some mussels and prince prawns. 🦐

Manakis

In the mood for some amazing Greek food? Manakis in St Julian’s is the place to be! Their grilled and fried calamari both go well with the house tzatziki… Greece’s culinary options are vast and everything that comes out of Manakis’ kitchen does it justice, seafood or not! 🇬🇷

Cockney’s

When friends tell you that they want to meet up for cocktails and some light nibbles, take them to Cockney’s in Valletta. Prices are high at Cockney’s, but the ambience is enjoyable and the seafood is pretty amazing. 🍸

This is a tough one...

Roots

What better place to eat seafood than in Marsaxlokk? If you’re a Maltese seafood fan, you probably happen to enjoy the feel of a classic Maltese restaurant that puts effort into the fish that it serves. If this sounds familiar, we’re sure you will like Roots! ☀️

Arzella

Situated in the lovely island of Gozo (Marsalforn) is Arzella. This impressive restaurant is an absolute favourite of mine. You will definitely miss out if you go there and you don’t try the Calamari Fritti and the Pepata di Cozze e Vongole starters. And if you’re a cheese lover, you might wanna consider the Baked Brie in Puff Pastry - it’s literally divine. 🐠

Tag a friend in the comments who loves seafood as much as you do! We wanna know!
