Saving the planet, one Tiffin Box at a time 🌍

Saving the planet, one Tiffin Box at a time 🌍

If 2020 has taught us one thing, it’s that Mother Nature has had enough. She’s been begging us to stop ruining her world and leaving our rubbish all over her pretty face. And if Cami Appelgren has taught us one thing, it’s that she knows a fair bit about how we can help ease the pressure on our environment to cleanse itself. 🌍

You’re probably asking what this has to do with food

We’ll let you in on a little secret: 2020 saw shares in single-use plastic take a soar on the charts. Why? Everyone was stuck at home, ordering their favourite dishes from their favourite restaurants. 💙🛵

We’re all guilty of it. We’re all also guilty of forgetting to request no cutlery. 😞

But it’s not just the knives and forks and spoons

The boxes our food is usually delivered in use plastics, the delivery method is a whole can of worms - unless you’re using deliveroo and their infamous cyclists, but they’re not available in Malta - and don’t even get us started on the packaging of ingredients. 🤯

There is no blanket solution, but there is The Tiffin Box in St Julian’s and Sliema 😮

Personally endorsed (in the most light-hearted of ways) by Cami Appelgren herself - Malta’s own Mother of Nature - The Tiffin Box have a unique approach to delivery boxes.

Choose from either a 2-tier or 4-tier tiffin and place your order online through their website. Make sure if it’s your first order that you’ve selected the tiffin deposit in your order.

Choose your preferred payment method, link them up with the delivery address and wait patiently as these hard workers take the time to transport a real taste of India to your door; tucked safely inside a metal tiffin box. 🍛

What’s a tiffin? 🤷

Don’t worry - we asked the same thing when we first heard it.

Tiffin, as a word, is a British colloquial term for a light snack, “I’ll just have a tiffin.” It’s also the metal container you’ll get your food delivered in, also known as a dabbas in some Asian and Indian cities.

But The Tiffin Box’s meals are anything but snack-worthy. These curries are certified Cami Appelgren approved, and now they’ve got our seal of approval, too. ✅

Have you tried The Tiffin Box yet?

What are you waiting for? Get online, place an order and help save the world one tiffin box at a time. 🍲
