Malta’s Snack Bar Saga: North Edition🥤

Malta’s Snack Bar Saga: North Edition🥤

We’re all down in the dumps because our favourite restaurants, cafes and bars have had to close their doors because of the pandemic. But that doesn’t mean we still can’t get a tasty bite to eat all while supporting our favourite establishments thanks to the glorious creation of  take aways. 💯

So, it’s time to hop in your car and get ready for a tasty road trip, and we’ll start with fair warning, if you’re looking for something remotely healthy, I advise you to look elsewhere, these are Malta’s finest snackbar eats - and we love them. 🚘

Hungry Wolf (Ta’ Soldi) - Mgarr

This classic spot is loved by all, and it’s one of the best in the North to grab a traditional Maltese meal, like ross il-forn and fenek moqli. Ta’ Soldi are serving up their regular takeaway menu plus some weekly specials and are just a call away. 🤙

Sundancer Kiosk - Mellieha

The #1 Ghadira Bay kiosk hits the spot on those sunny beach days - whether for a refreshing ice cream or a full-blown lunch. The weather is getting warmer and beaches are getting fuller, so we’ll be needing this joint asap. 🍦

Burmarrad FC Snack Bar

Football ground snack bars are a cultural marker of the Maltese Islands, and they’re also stars when it comes to affordable feel-good food. Burmarrad FC is up and running with your favourite traditional Maltese eats and classic snacks for takeaway. ⚽

How do you feel about take away?

Cirkewwa Kiosk

The Cirkewwa Kiosk is a classic and never failed us when we needed that pre/post-Gozo boost or when out for a Sunday drive. Maybe we can’t go to Gozo, but we can still stop by at this snack bar for some coffee and a tasty treat. 🍰

Zagallo’s - Rabat

This take away snack bar and pizzeria in the heart of Rabat is the perfect spot to kick your cravings. Zagallo’s have been masters of take away for far longer than COVID has been around, so handling this situation with tasty food is right up their alley. 🍕

Panorama Snack Bar - Burmarrad

Sometimes cheap and tasty takeaway is just what you’re craving, and Panorama have got the goods - from ftajjar and wraps to pasta dishes and fish and chips. Cheap, cheerful and packed with local charm and quirkiness. 🍟
