Chocolate fanatics, listen up! A creative concept has recently landed in Malta and we’re too excited about this not to share it with you. KawKaw (get it? cacao!) launched earlier this year and we just can’t get enough! Get ready to drool. 🤤
The story behind KawKaw
KawKaw is a new local business focusing on all things chocolate. Owner and founder, Sarah Schembri, shares her passion for making delicious treats through brownies, blondies, truffles, and any other chocolate creation you can think of. 🍫
She started out making some homemade goodies and cakes at home just for fun. Family and close friends were lucky enough to be tasters. Even in her early days, she made mouth-watering creations that are just too beautiful to eat (but trust us, they’re too delicious to leave them there too). 🤩
Once she figured out her true calling, which is making other people’s taste buds happy through chocolate, she headed off to Italy to study the art of chocolate making at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners (ICIF). 🇮🇹
Sarah did not launch KawKaw immediately after finishing her studies. She continued experimenting at home and working to perfect her skill. Fast forward to 2020, she finds herself launching her own chocolate business, all while working a full-time job and sitting for a part-time masters in the midst of a global pandemic. 👏
The first bite into one of KawKaw’s brownies will transport you to a glorious place. You can feel your taste buds tingle and your soul warming up. The soft, fudgey interior is everything anyone looks for in a brownie. It gives you a boost of endorphins that we all really need right now. 🤯
