Here are some of Malta's hidden gems that you should NEVER forget about!

The restaurant industry in Malta has taken a significant turn for the better over the last couple of years. The major food delivery services on the island have been getting stronger each year. More and more promising restaurants are being opened, and people in Malta can finally say that they have a lot of good food to choose from when going out to eat. 😍
With all these new and not so new places to choose from, where do you even start from? 😵 To make your life a tad easier, we’re giving you a glimpse of some of the best restaurants in Malta you may or may not have got the chance to visit lately:
Tal-Ingliz Restaurant
If you’re really into delicious Maltese cuisine, you’ll love this restaurant. It’s a well-known place among meat lovers, mostly because it serves up some of the most delicious steaks, horse meat and rabbit on the island. However, considering that Tal-Ingliz is situated way up in the North of Malta in Mgarr, this amazing restaurant may not be well known among everyone (sadly!). 🏆
The Dubliner
Craving some classic British food - or any comforting nibbles to go with your drink? The Dubliner pub in St Julian’s has got you sorted. From traditional Sunday Roast to cheesy nachos to delicious burgers with guacamole, this place has got it all! In case you’re into sport, it also shows various different games - the perfect atmosphere to go with your lunch! ⚽
ALKA Restaurant
This typical Mediterranean restaurant is every fish lover’s dream! Located in Qrendi, Alka serves up some of the best grilled fish, appetising pasta, seafood platters, duck and many other Mediterranean delights. All to be enjoyed with a stunning view of the sea, of course! If you do go to Alka, make sure to try any of the seasonal fish dishes, they are impressive! 🐟
Old Bakery’s Pizza e Pasta
Craving Italian food? Say no more. This game-changing typical Italian restaurant in Valletta never disappoints. Old Bakery is mainly known for its incredibly good pizza, but also makes some pretty good pasta! Some foodie favourites from this homey place include the Gnocchi Porcini Walnuts Tartufo, the Tricolore pizza and the pizza Genovese. 🇮🇹
San Giuliano
Date night ideas, anyone? San Giuliano Restaurant is a well-loved food place in the scenic spot of Balluta Bay, St Julian’s. Serving impressive Italian food, this restaurant has plenty of good options but we happen to love the Braciola agli Aromi (or Ribeye steak with garlic, butter, lemon and orange zest) and the Spaghetti alle Vongole Veraci. 🥩
Wigi’s Kitchen
Mediterranean cuisine with a contemporary flair for food styling and rich flavours, Wigi’s Kitchen is easily one of the best restaurants in St Julian’s. No really. Its creative menu boasts items such as Oven-baked Brie with Tomato Jam, the Roasted Fillet of Mediterranean Meagre or their Char-grilled French Rack of Veal. Intrigued? We know we are! 👏🏻
