Fancy some crisps? Tomorrow's National Potato Chip Day 🤗

Whether you call them crisps or chips, they’re the number one snack food in the US, so it’s no wonder that a holiday was created in their name - and tomorrow is the big day! We Maltese love our salty snacks just as much, but as always we prefer adding a local twist.
Either way, it’s certain that we’re big consumers of crisps in all their shapes, sizes and flavours - so let’s look at some of our locally-available favourite international brands for potato chip day, and some of their flavour highlights: 🥔
Pringles
They weren’t lying when they said “Once you pop, you can’t stop”. Pringles are so tasty that you could eat a whole can with no problem (apart from the calories, of course). 👀
Best Flavour: Original
Weirdest Flavour: Too many to count! The limited edition flavours are always, well… unique. Take Salted Egg, for one.
Walkers
Walkers have a huge range, but the original crisps will always remain close to our heart. Light and perfectly bite-size, they’re the elite snack. 👌
Best Flavour: Prawn Cocktail
Weirdest Flavour: Marmite
Kettle
Kettle is an all-around solid choice, with their kettle-cooked chips (hence the name) and interesting flavour combinations that are always tasty. 🌟
Best Flavour: Honey Barbeque
Weirdest Flavour: Pepperoncini
Lorenz
Lorenz have perfected the paprika game on their Crunchips, and don’t get me started on how addictive the Pomsticks are. 😬
Best Flavour: Paprika (specifically the ones with the ridges)
Weirdest Flavour: The Fantastic Cream & Mild Wasabi Dream (don’t ask).
Real Handcooked
When it comes to British crisps, these are the Real deal. All the way from Wales, they’re always a lucky find in supermarkets.
Best Flavour: Sweet Chili
Weirdest Flavour: Jalapeno Pepper and Roast Ox (moving on…)
Tyrrells
Tyrrells are proud of their countless flavour awards, but to me, the perfectly-sized bag is where it’s at. 😏
Best Flavour: Sea Salt and Black Pepper
Weirdest Flavour: Naked (I simply cannot stand the idea of unsalted crisps)
Whatever your go-to chip brand may be, we hope we’ve inspired you to sit back, relax, and pop open a bag for national potato chip day. 🇺🇸
