Bongo Nyah
This gorgeous place in Marsascala has a stunning menu and everything is so delicious, whether it’s the tapas, mains, desserts, or cocktails! The burgers at Bongo Nyah are juicy, delicious, and made with love. ❤️
Hugo’s Burger Bar
Hugo's Burger Bar opening as a giant food truck in Zejtun was probably the best thing that happened in 2020. Their burgers are juicy, fresh, and so flavourful. 😋
Deck and Morsel
Marsaxlokk is not only home to some of the island’s best fish, but also to some of the south’s best burgers. Deck and Morsel take their burgers to the next level with some seriously fine ingredients, like raclette cheese, miso mayo, guanciale, anchovies, and so many other unique burger toppings. 😍
Hermanos Burgers
The Hermanos brothers made local burger history when they first opened up in St Julian’s, but even more so when they opened up a new spot in Paola! Hermanos Burgers have a killer selection of burgers for you to choose from, and they have a new special every month. 😎
BosSteaks
BosSteaks is another Marsascala gem, especially for meat lovers. Their burgers, which are served downstairs at the take-away bar, are thick and juicy, and there’s just something special about eating a killer burger by the beautiful Marsascala sea. 🌊
Al Legna
OK, this is the last place in Marsascala, I promise. The guys at Al Legna make an amazing authentic Italian pizza, but if you’re not in the mood for that, their burgers are just as great. I mean, look at this beast! 🤩
Talbot & Bons
I used to think of Talbot & Bons at Skyparks, Luqa, as just a cute little bistro for a chill drink and some snacks, but that was until I tried one of their burgers. The patty is fresh and juicy, and combined with a lightly toasted bun, it’s a feast for your taste buds. ✨
Supernova Heights Cafe
Although the patties are not made inhouse, the burgers at Supernova Heights Cafe in Kalkara are packed with flavour. They have some unique concepts too, like The Twisted P.B. & J. Burger, with bourbon bacon jam and crunchy peanut butter. 🥜
Delivery Bonus:
One thing that we absolutely loved from 2020 was the introduction of delivery to the south from most of the restaurants in Malta, especially through Wolt or Bolt. These places may not technically be situated in the south, but they’re super close by and they deliver!
