5 Brunch Spots in Malta we can't get enough of 😋

5 Brunch Spots in Malta we can't get enough of 😋

Picture this: it’s Friday night and the groupchat is buzzing. Lockdown has finally been lifted and you’re all craving a boss-level brunch feast. The problem? None of you know where to go first… 🤷

Don’t waste time worrying, either. We’ve got you sorted with a few suggestions to run past the crew before sunrise. Thank us later. 🙏

Danny’s

Just off Mriehel and down towards Qormi is where you’ll find Danny’s. Open from 11am, these guys are sure to settle your too-late-for-breakfast-too-early-for-lunch troubles. You’ve got chicken wings to keep Jack quiet with, a burger for yourself (because you deserve it) and Karen’s happy to see the menu has an ample veggie-friendly selection. Sorted. 💪

Crust Bakery, Bar & Bistro

Is it even brunch if you’re not by the sea? Crust’s view of Spinola Bay coupled with a drink in your hand, washing down your order… We’ll say no more. 😉

Except that you really need to try all of the doughnuts that Chef Sean Gravina has spent a good amount of time perfecting. They're light and fluffy but stuffed with the most creative of fillings. 🍩

Uncle Matt’s Kitchen

You’re getting three spots for the price of one with Uncle Matt’s. If you’re looking for a change of scene as the backdrop to your brunch, head to Salini and enjoy your wannabe breakfast to the sound of the birds around you. 🐦

Head to Msida if you’re looking for a homely vibe or Marsaskala if you’re in need of some salty air. Either way, everyone will light up at the thought of their fish and chips - that's brunchy right? 🐟

Dr. Juice (PAMA/Gzira)

Dr. Juice’s latest venture hits the brunch scene with a powerful and healthy punch, offering up all of their classic juices and smoothies with the addition of superfood brunch items and poached eggs galore. If you’re hungover or just in need of a later-than-usual breakfast kickstart to your day, Dr. Juice has just the right medicine. 🥤

Marelli Café

Brunch in Malta has found its forever home in Birkirkara with a little help from Marelli Café. Chef Maria has had quite an astounding menu on offer since they first opened shop and since then they’ve been climbing to the top of every foodie’s favourite ladder. 👏

Serving both breakfast and lunch at the same time means any hangovers in the pack can nurse on a boiled egg dredged in bechamel while you chow down on your chicken parm. They’ve even added a bunch of new drinks to their menu to help you wash it all down with. Hint: piña colada smoothies are bae. 🥥

If you’re looking for an unbeatable brunch in Malta you really needn’t look too far. These five spots are some of our favourites, but you’d no doubt find us at a number of other places in search of the best brunch in Malta. 🤤
