It’s Amore with these simple #CookingwithFausto recipes! 🇮🇹

We all know him, we all love him and at FoodBlog we look up to Fausto Soldini for his Roman food empire that brought the savoury flavours of Italy to our sunny Mediterranean island. It’s true that we’ve got our fair share of Italian restaurants on our shores, but none come close to the authenticity, passion and drive for deliciousness that Zero Sei, Pizzeria Sotto and Prosciutteria bring to the table. Gruppo Zero Sei is here to slay! 🏆

That’s why we decided to get our main man on board for a super saucy mini-series featuring one of the top ready-made sauces in the industry: Sacla plus a local favourite for cured hams and cheeses Fiorucci! With mega brand Attard & Co powering the way to 4 unique and easy-to-make recipes, and Fausto’s creative use of Sacla sauces, FoodBlog brings you the #CookingwithFausto series that will make your lunches, sides and appetizers all the more delicious! Let’s dive right in… 👉

  • a hearty slice of Fiorruci’s Mortadella Bologna,
  • a handful of spicy rucola,
  • some chopped cherry tomatoes,
  • a drizzle of balsamic glaze and
  • a fist full of crushed pistachios.

What you’ll need to do:

  1. Fry up the mortadella on either side in a heated frying pan until the nom fat clusters caramalize the meaty slice.
  2. Find a fancy serving plate and decorate with washed rucola and some cherry toms.
  3. Place your mortadella on the serving dish and drizzle a generous amount of balsamic glaze onto the fried meat. Top with crunchy pistachios and cut yourself a hearty slice!
