The Ultimate FoodBlog Bucket List: January đź‘€

Can you believe that 2020 is over? It’s the first day of a brand new year and you’re probably looking for new things to do. Whether you have your New Years’ resolutions or not for this year, you’ll definitely need some time for yourself after the year we’ve all had. Check out what you can do this month:

Watch (or re-watch) all episodes of Somebody Feed Phil

With the start of this new year come the hopes of being able to travel freely once again. So what better way to spike up your travel inspiration than watching Phil Rosenthal eat different foods from around the world? You can also make your own Global Foodie Bucket List of different cuisines that you have yet to try! đź“ť

Dine at Wagyu Bar & Kitchen

As you may already know, Chef Daniel Grech’s latest masterpiece opened up back in mid-November. If you haven’t visited Wagyu Bar & Kitchen already, eating here will be a great start to your new year. And if you have, well, you know how good the food is, so why not go again? The menu is so varied, try something new! 🍣

Eat from a local food truck

We have so many great food trucks in Malta - they are truly underrated. Good food does not have to come from a restaurant; it can also come from a kitchen on wheels. Check out this list of stunning local food trucks, pick your favourites, and go for a spin! 🍔

Make your own Chinese take-out at home

Making your own Chinese food may seem like a hassle, but some of the dishes are actually quite easy to make. This sweet & sour chicken recipe, for example, is one of them. Even though this is technically Chinese-American food, and not the actual traditional Chinese food, it’s still known as Chinese food in most countries, and it’s still super delicious. You can serve it alongside noodles or stir-fried rice, and add some more dishes, like satay beef and crispy duck. 🦆

Recreate Chef Marvin Gauci’s Prawn and Pistachio Pasta recipe

This gorgeous recipe was aired during the second episode of our very own Marvin’s Five and it is probably one of my favourites. Using just pasta, the juice of a lime, pistachios, king prawns, and fresh coriander, you can make a killer pasta dish. Check out the full recipe here. 🍝

Look out for Ali Baba’s new concept

Around mid-December, founder of Lebanese restaurant Ali Baba, Hany Harb, confirmed that a second eating spot is in the works. Their new take-out place, named BABA, will focus on Lebanese street-food that will be available for take-away or delivery. They announced that they will be launching somewhere around mid-January to February 2021, so stay alert! We’ll obviously let you know when they open. 👀

Any resolutions for 2021?
