We’ve all found ourselves endlessly scrolling through TikTok one day or another, watching the latest trends, silly dances, awesome life hacks, news updates in Malta, and most importantly, amazing recipes. I’ve discovered some super chefs and home cooks on this app and the recipes they come up with are just out of this world sometimes. 🤯
Searching for cool recipes on TikTok has become my guilty pleasure. So I thought I’d make you guilty of this too! Here are some of our favourite recipes on this app:
The garlicky-est garlic bread
Let’s start with everyone’s favourite: garlic bread. This recipe switches up the ratio of butter and garlic a little bit by using 4 entire heads of roasted garlic with one stick of butter (that’s around 115g or ½ cup). The creator also adds some spices to the mixture, like basil, chilli flakes and salt, then brushes up a fresh baguette and toasts it in the oven for another 15 minutes. Doesn’t this look heavenly? 😋

Crunchy ravioli chips
Pasta chips have become a trend recently and it is quite the delicious snack, especially when combined with a good dip. If you want to make your pasta chips taste even better, try out these ravioli chips! The boiled ravioli are seasoned and cooked in the oven to make a nice, crunchy chip - easy, right? 🤷

Buffalo tofu poppers
Here’s a vegan snack, appetizer, or even main course that nobody will realise is vegan. Tofu might not have the greatest taste when it’s not seasoned well or cooked properly (the secret is marinating it for 20-30 minutes before cooking it, folks), but this recipe for tofu poppers is killer. You’ll end up with a crispy, yummy dish without having to fry in oil. 👌

The fluffiest versatile dough
As soon as I saw that moist, fluffy, soft dough, I knew I just HAD to try this recipe. The best thing about this is that the same recipe can be used for a number of things - garlic bread, pizza and even bread. I mean, look at that Chicago-style pizza! 😍

Creamy-without-cream cashew pasta
I tried this once and it was love at first bite. Honestly. It’s super easy to make and the result is a super creamy, thick, delicious pasta sauce that is also vegan. All you need are cherry tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, herbs, hot water, cashews and some salt and pepper. You probably have most of the ingredients in your kitchen right now, so what are you waiting for? 🤩

Refreshing gazpacho
This one’s for those hot days when you cannot even stand switching on your stove, let alone cooking and eating a warm dish. Gazpacho is like a cold soup that is super refreshing and does not require any animal products (so it’s vegan). This one’s quite simple to make and look at all those fresh veggies! 🍅

Cadbury Crunchie ice-cream
I cannot be the only one who adores the Crunchie chocolate bar. When I saw this recipe my mouth started drooling instantly. You don’t even need an ice-cream machine and it’s not so difficult to make. Plus, if, for some super strange reason, you don’t like Crunchie, you can just substitute it with any other chocolate bar of your choice! 🍫
