Nu Cafe by Vecchia Napoli will soon open its doors in Mriehel! ☕

Nu Cafe by Vecchia Napoli will soon open its doors in Mriehel! ☕

A brand new cafe has landed in Malta, born from the beloved Vecchia Napoli, and obviously, it's all about Naples! The excitement is real, foodies! 🤩

A Neapolitan touch has been added to Mriehel

We already absolutely love Vecchia Napoli for the delicious Neapolitan food they serve, using the freshest ingredients, dousing everything with a little bit of love, and serving it all with a smile in beautiful restaurants across Malta. So when we heard that they will be expanding and opening up a cafe, we were beyond thrilled! 😋

Nu Cafe, a sub-brand of Vecchia Napoli, will soon open its doors at Farsons Brewery in Mriehel. It is located right behind the brewery itself, which is called The Brewhouse, and is ready to serve you all the Neapolitan goodness you can think of. 🤤

Will you be visiting Nu Cafe?

What to expect

It's not only your typical Vecchia Napoli lunch or dinner anymore. Nu Cafe will be serving a light, delicious menu from breakfast until 3:30pm. They've got sandwiches, croissants, panini 'al volo' (on the go), pizza, fresh salads, wholesome Neapolitan street food (wrapped in paper, too!), drinks, coffees and even authentic Neapolitan sweets to satisfy your sweet tooth. 🥐

If you're looking to visit for dinner, don't worry, because Vecchia Napoli will be serving their menu at the same spot from lunchtime until 11pm, so it's the best of both worlds! There's loads of indoor seating too, so you will have plenty of space to enjoy the Neapolitan coffee culture away from the outside heat. 🔥

The interiors are looking fantastic!

What's behind the name?

Nu Cafe is not just any name. This is a phrase that is used probably thousands of times in Naples everyday. Locals ask their favourite barista for a coffee in their Neapolitan dialect by saying, "Ciro! Famme nu caffe!" ("Make me a coffee, Ciro!"). So even the name alone will transport you on a culinary journey to Naples. But when you try out the food… that's when you will feel like a local! 😎

How many pizzas do you think will come out of that oven?

We love authentic, traditional spots for food and Malta definitely needed a Neapolitan coffee shop, don't you think? Tag someone you want to visit Nu Cafe with in the comments! 👇
