When we think of staple Maltese food, pastizzi always come to mind. If it's Easter time, then figolli are definitely the first to come up. But this year, Sphinx surprised the nation and created a new addition to the list of Maltese traditional foods: the Figazzi. Check out our full article here. 🤯
The Figazzi are pure almond pastizzotti; small pastizzi filled with the pure almond filling that is found in figolli and some chocolate. These delicious bombshells made their way to Sphinx and Champ pastizerias on the 22nd March 2021 and they seemed to have been a hit! Most pastizzerias were sold out of Figazzi by the afternoon everyday! 🤩
We went on a little Figazzi spree (no complaints here) and snatched these little pockets of goodness from the following Sphinx/Champ locations:
