Cartoon meals we’ve always wanted to try out in real life 🤖

Cartoon meals we’ve always wanted to try out in real life 🤖

Remember when we were young and we used to come back from school and want to watch cartoons instead of doing our homework? Whether you were used to watching English cartoons on Cartoon Network or the Italian versions on Italia Uno, every cartoon had these colourful and delicious-looking dishes that we just wished we could taste. 😋

We’ve been feeling a tad nostalgic lately, so we thought of gathering up a list of our favourite cartoon meals that we craved as kids:

The Stacked Sandwich in Scooby Doo

Shaggy from Scooby Doo was notorious for his munchies. He would either feast on that super long sub or else the infamous stacked sandwich filled with deli meats and other goodies, known as The Super Shaggy Sandwich. We wouldn’t mind getting our hands on this bad boy. 🥪

The Burger in Popeye

Remember Wimpy from Popeye? He would always be downing these yummy-looking burgers one after the other. It used to make us think, “but how delicious can this burger be that he manages to eat so many of them?” To be fair, even the spinach in Popeye looked good, but maybe that was a tactic to get us to eat our vegetables. 🍔

The Lasagna in Garfield

Garfield is, and always will be, the ultimate foodie cartoon character in the history of cartoons. We can all understand his love of food, especially lasagna. Garfield’s lasagna always looked so cheesy and mouth-watering, even if it didn’t look real. Wouldn’t you just want to dig in? 🤤

Tubby Toast and Tubby Custard in Teletubbies

As creepy as those smiles on the toast looked, the toast always seemed so crispy and the custard just looked so creamy! Looking back at it now, Teletubbies was super weird, but over 20 years have gone by and we’re still dreaming of sitting in the countryside eating Tubby Toast and a bowl of pink Tubby Custard. 🍞

The Krabby Patty in Spongebob Squarepants

Ok, so this cartoon might not be as old as the others above, but it first aired in 1999, so it’s not that new either. Spongebob Squarepants’ famous Krabby Patty is a gourmet-looking burger that we all want to bite into, so maybe can a local food guru open up a Krusty Krab in Malta sometime soon? Oh wait there is! Becky's Kitchen offers their own take on the Krabby Patty

The Pink Doughnuts in The Simpsons

Really and truly, every kind of food on The Simpsons looks so delicious. However, these iconic pink doughnuts are what kicks our cravings up. Give us a couple of pink doughnuts and a pint of Duff beer and we’re all set! 🍩

The Ramen in Dragon Ball

This action-packed cartoon was full of scenes of Goku slurping down ramen or stuffing his face with food like there’s no tomorrow. As kids, we wanted to be sitting on the floor in Dragon Ball eating ramen with Goku, followed by a nap and possibly training to get the best Kamehameha (or Onda Energetica for those who watched the Italian version). 🍜

The Bread in Aladdin

The loaves of bread in Aladdin were some of the most delicious-looking cartoon food. They looked crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and seemed to be fresh out of the oven. We wouldn’t mind a slice of that with some melted butter or just a drizzle of olive oil and some salt and pepper! 🥖

Would you eat these cartoon meals?

Now that we think of it, our childhood was surrounded by food. If it wasn’t at home, it was on TV. Don’t get us wrong, we’re not complaining! But can someone out there make these drool-worthy cartoon meals a reality, please?
