Viva San Pawl! 6 Spots To Feast At This Public Holiday 🍖
The festa season of 2021 is soon among us and what better way to celebrate than with a hearty (literal) feast. February marks the first of the year - the feast of St Paul’s Shipwreck - so naturally we’ve decided to give old San Pawl a little FoodBlog love. 😘
Some of the snazziest restaurants you’ll find in and around St Paul’s Bay:
The Chef’s Table
In the heart of Bugibba, you’ll find a place with a very familiar name to anyone with a Netflix subscription. 🎥
Too often is the northern region of Malta overlooked for not being “classy” enough for diners, but we think The Chef’s Table has proven that theory very wrong. 😎
Make sure you try their Maltese pork belly stuffed with caramelised apples. 🐷
Travellers Cafe & Bar
If you’re looking for some good pub grub then this is the place to be for this week’s festa. 🍻
Choose from the Travellers’ selection of main dishes, like their grilled chicken breast, or grab your friends and order a bunch of starters to share around. There’s something for everyone and then some in this friendly spot - just be sure to wash it all down with a freshly pulled draught pint.
Ta’ Bertu
For all things classic and traditional, you’ll want to check out Ta’ Bertu. 🤤
These guys have been on the local scene for quite some time now and it shows - their menu offers a wide range of local ingredients all prepared as well as your mother would have when you were a wee one. 👩🍼
If you’re craving a traditional plate of fenek this feast, Ta’ Bertu is the place to be. 💯
Carvv Steakhouse
What does the extra V stand for? We’d hazard a guess at very - as in, very meaty. 🤩
Which is exactly what you’d expect to find at any steakhouse willing to put its name on the line.
Carvv does just that - top pick for these guys has to be their beef short rib. 🥩
New Madras
If you’re wanting to steer away from traditions instead of caving in for them this year, why not take your tastebuds on holiday and treat yourself to a curry this feast? 🍛
Exceptional curries await you at Malta’s most acclaimed Indian restaurant - New Madras.
Ta Pawla Mother Earth
In honour of St Paul, we’ve had to include his feminine counterpart - Pawla - only because of the nostalgia hit you’re going to get if you check this place out. ✨
With a varied menu, showcasing local and international cuisine, this is the ultimate family restaurant for you to take your posse to this feast.
Go all out with your tradition and have their set Maltese menu, or throw a dart at the menu and let fate fill your belly for you. Mother Earth always knows best. 😏
