The Ultimate FoodBlog Bucket List: November 👌

The Ultimate FoodBlog Bucket List: November 👌

Let’s give a round of applause to October as it drifts by while welcoming the eleventh month of the year: November! More comforting foods make their way to us as the weather begins to cool down, and a new month also means more food holidays, food events, and things to do! 🤩

Check out some things we had in mind for the month of November. 😋

Celebrate Sandwich Day

The 3rd of November marks Sandwich Day! If you’re a lover of all things bread, this is your day to celebrate. We will be posting a list of spots in Malta for killer sandwiches, so keep an eye out for that and get ready for a sandwich celebration! 🥪

Check out the new menu at Blue House

Blue House in Birgu has recently launched a new menu that is waiting for you! Their menu changes seasonally so that every single ingredient that they use is fresh and in season at that particular time. 😍

Some of the new menu items include the Beef Cheek Stew, the Leek and Potatoes Soup, the Tagliolini al Ragu di Mare, and the Old Style Polenta! They’re open Wednesday to Sunday for dinner, and Sunday for lunch too, so make sure you visit sometime this month. 🤤

Make your own November bones

Basically being the figolli of winter, November bones are a classic, traditional Maltese treat. They’re considered the figolli of winter since they’re made with a recipe that is very similar to that of figolli, but they are shaped into the form of a bone. They’re comforting and delicious and are made in celebration of All Souls’ Day. 🦴

If you want to try making your own, my favourite recipe is from Apron & Whisk. ✌️

Try out Suzie Q’s new brunch menu

Suzie Q launched an all-new brunch menu a few weeks ago and it’s the bomb! If you’re looking for a chill spot for brunch, you need to check this place out. Breakfast buns, omelettes, pancakes, breakfast plates and even a Cuban sandwich - what else could you want? 😌

Catch up on Somebody Feel Phil

Somebody Feed Phil is my absolute favourite docuseries because it combines both food and travel. Season 6 was released just a couple of weeks ago, so if you haven’t watched it yet, it’s time for you to catch up! 👌

Organise a hot sauce challenge with friends

Do you want to do something different on a Saturday night? Organise a hot sauce challenge with your friends! Get your hands on some killer hot sauces with different heat intensities (don’t be afraid to go a little crazy here) and challenge your friends to try them out with you. 😎

I get my hot sauce fix from Ferment Island for local sauces or from Beer Head for international sauces (but you’ll also find Ferment Island’s sauces here!). 🔥
