Spooky Season: Check Out These Cool Halloween Food Ideas! ๐ŸŽƒ

Halloween is almost here! The American traditions related to this holiday are becoming more and more popular in Malta. Children love this holiday because they get to dress up in costumes and go around trick or treating. ๐Ÿญ

But that doesnโ€™t mean that us adults cannot enjoy it too! Halloween parties for adults are super fun, so if youโ€™re planning on hosting one this year, check out these super cool ideas for snacks you can serve. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Spider Oreos or Spider Crackers

If you want them to be sweet, go with the Oreos with liquorish spider legs. If you want them to be savoury, slab a bit of your favourite dip between two Ritz crackers and use salt sticks as spider legs. ๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ

Donโ€™t forget the eyes! Use some icing for sweet ones and the same dip with black olive slices for the savoury ones. ๐Ÿ˜‹

Sausage Fingers

These are probably one of the easiest snacks you can prep for Halloween. All you need to do is cut off a little bit of the edge of some sausages to form a nail bed and make some small cuts in the middle for skin texture. ๐ŸŒญ

You can also add nails using pastry or onions and even spook it up by adding ketchup for a bloody effect. ๐Ÿฉธ

Mummy Pizzas

Fresh out of the oven, not the tomb! Make some mini rectangular pizzas or ciabatta halves and create bandages using mozzarella or puff pastry (or both!) and youโ€™ve got yourself a mummy pizza! ๐Ÿ•

Puking Pumpkin Nachos & Guac

This is not your typical nachos and guacamole! You can keep your usual nachos and dip, just add a carved pumpkin to your display and place the guacamole as if it is coming out of the pumpkinโ€™s mouth. ๐ŸŽƒ

You can also use salsa or nacho cheese; any dip will work! โœŒ๏ธ

Graveyard Brownie Cups

These things are the cutest and theyโ€™re the perfect dessert for your Halloween party. Make your favourite brownie recipe, crumble it in a cup and layer with chocolate mousse to get some texture and different colours. ๐Ÿซ

Add some tombstone biscuits (or tombstones made out of fondant) and gummy worms and youโ€™re good to go! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Do you like Halloween?

Skeleton Charcuterie Board

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! All you need to do is to set up a charcuterie board with your favourite cheeses and cold cuts, buy a skeleton prop and set it up around your board - the skull at the top, arms at the side, ribs above the board and legs at the bottom. ๐Ÿ’€

Jack Skellington Cake Pops

If you don't know who Jack Skellington is (๐Ÿ˜ฑ), please go and watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. And then make these cake pops. ๐Ÿคค

Just make normal cake pops (any flavour you like), cover with white icing and decorate the face with black icing. ๐Ÿ˜

Monster Eye Devilled Eggs

Monster Eye Devilled Eggs look super awesome and are relatively easy to make. You can make the green filling using the cooked yolk, green food colouring and mayo, whereas the pupil can be made with a thinly sliced radish and black olive slices. ๐ŸงŸ

Scary Pumpkin Mini Pies

Think of mini pies in the form of ravioli but in the shape of pumpkins with different scary faces. Cool, right? ๐Ÿ‘ป

The filling can be anything you want, so there's more room to get creative here! ๐Ÿคฉ

Graveyard Sandwiches

Sandwiches are always a hit at a party. These ones will be an even bigger hit! Make any sandwiches you want and cut them into shapes of coffins, tombstones, or whatever Halloween-related item you wish! โšฐ๏ธ
