Malta Life getting busy? Pack a Portable Breakfast! 🥐

Malta Life getting busy? Pack a Portable Breakfast! 🥐

You know that annoying feeling when you're late for an early Uni lecture or work meeting and don't find time for breakfast? We've all been there. No matter how busy your day ahead is, starting your day off the right way by eating breakfast is always important. Don't worry, you won't have to start making drastic changes to your morning routine. In this article, We'll be providing you with a list of tasty portable breakfasts that will allow you to enjoy the most important meal of the day - without being late. 🏆

Banana and Peanut Butter Oat Bake

This simple and nutritious breakfast is a favourite at home. The best way to go about his one is to prepare this recipe on a Sunday to cover your morning meals for the entire work week. To start off, go ahead and cook some porridge in a pot (this will take you less than 8 minutes). After it’s done, spread it evenly in a baking dish and lather it with some golden syrup on top. 🍯

Chop up a banana (I prefer chunky slices) and add that on too, along with any of your favourite nuts. Sprinkle some cinnamon on top, just because it goes so well with bananas and oats. Finally, scoop up a generous amount of peanut butter and place it randomly over the mix. Let bake in the oven and cut a good slice in the morning. 🍌

Chocolate Strawberry Overnight Oats

Just like dessert for breakfast. Start off by mixing in some oats, Greek yoghurt and honey in a bowl. Stir in some milk until you get a liquidy yet chunky consistency. I find that almond milk goes very well with this. 🥛

Add some cocoa powder and some chocolate chips, if you’re feeling up for an extra treat in the morning. Once you’ve mixed everything together, pour your oat mix into a small jar and add small strawberry chunks on top. Leave this in the fridge overnight, and dive in the next morning. Delicious. 🍓

Avocado & Tomato Toast

The best thing about toast is that you can literally eat it while you’re walking. Toast is easy, simple and comforting but you can do a lot to make it fun. All you’ll need is half an avocado for two pieces of bread. 🥑

Cut up half an avocado and put it in small chunks in a bowl. Mash it up with a fork and go ahead and add four or five halved cherry tomatoes. Pour in some olive oil and add some salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix in some fresh basil leaves if you’re feeling a bit extra. Place on your toast and before you know it, you're done! 🤤
