Friends fans, this one’s for you! This iconic TV series has been popular since the 90s, even in Malta, and with Monica being a Head Chef and Joey being the ultimate foodie, there’s obviously a lot of food involved. 😍
Being both a Friends fanatic and a foodie myself, there are some dishes from the series that I’ve always wanted to try. I bet I’m not the only one either! Here’s what makes my stomach growl every time I watch Friends:
Joey’s Meatball Sub
If it was worth protecting from a suspected gunshot, it must have been really good, right? Even though it was a car backfire, a yummy Italian sub filled with delicious meatballs drenched in a marinara sauce is definitely worth saving. 🤤
The Moist Maker
“My sandwich? MYYY SANDWICH?” Yeah, that one! A sandwich with leftovers from Thanksgiving with a piece of bread dipped in gravy in the middle, which Ross calls ‘The Moist Maker’. He goes into a full rage-fest when someone eats his sandwich, so I’m guessing it was amazing. 👀
Every Thanksgiving meal at Monica’s
Monica puts so much love into everything she cooks! Can you imagine what that whole Thanksgiving feast would taste like? The stuffed turkey, the potatoes any way you want them cooked (mashed with lumps, tater tots, whipped with peas and onions), and obviously Chandler’s cranberry sauce - the Chanberry sauce! 😋
Joey’s Marinara Sauce
Remember that time when Joey Tribbiani got so stressed that he made enough marinara sauce to feed an entire country? It looked so delicious. I’ve always wondered what Joey’s cooking tastes like! 🍅
Falafel from the Falafel Guy
“Did I buy a falafel from you yesterday?” 🤔
Rachel’s sister seems to have visited this falafel stand a couple of times when she visited and she thought that Ross was the falafel guy. A lot of people seemed to have been waiting in line for that falafel, so I’m curious to know what the fuss was about! 🧆
Ross’ FAJITAS!
Speaking of Ross, remember that time when he felt completely fine? His emotional breakdown resulted in some fine fajitas. He burnt his hands on the fajita dish, I think he at least deserved some feedback on the food, am I right? 😅
Monica’s holiday candy
Monica’s neighbours were knocking on her door in the middle of the night for the holiday candy that she put out for them as a treat. They were so good that they called them, “little drops of heaven”. Don’t you wish you were one of Monica’s neighbours? 🤩
Rachel’s Trifle
It doesn’t really sound good, but I cannot say I’m not curious! A trifle with beef sauteed with peas and onions obviously isn’t something you come across every day. Ross says “it tastes like feet”, but Joey says, “what’s not to like? Custard? Good. Jam? Good. Meat? Gooood.” I just need to know which side I’m on. 🤷
