Favourite takeout grabs you can make at home but still taste amazing 🤤

We all have a love-hate relationship with takeout. On the one hand, it feels so good to stay home and treat yourself to some comfort food to eat while watching a movie. On the other hand, ordering takeout can be an expensive and often unhealthy thing if it becomes a recurring habit. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean you’ll have to let go of your oh so loved takeout meals you can’t help but eat on a Friday night. 🥡

Say hello to our take on fun home cooking that enables you to eat your favourite food (without leaving you feeling too broke for dessert).

Amigos style tacos

Nobody quite does it like Amigos when it comes to delicious tacos. Make your own version of this tasty Mexican food by using these simple ingredients. All you’ll need are two large wraps for each taco and your favourite taco filling. Add chicken and veg, ham and cheese, spicy beef and kidney beans or any other favourite filling to put in between your wraps. Grill before serving in slices. 🌮

Korean fried chicken pieces

To bring out that authentic Korean flavour in the chicken pieces, season your chicken with soy sauce, vegetable oil and sugar. Fry and top with even more soy sauce, spring onions as well as sesame seeds. This recipe is pretty simple to make, and tastes close to the original too! 🍗

Yummy sushi rolls

There’s no better time to eat sushi than, well, right now. Sushi is actually very fun to make. It’s normal to find making it at home to be a bit intimidating at first, but by watching enough videos on YouTube, trust me you’ll get there! Just make sure to make a little extra than you’d normally order, because sushi from restaurants can be more filling than homemade sushi. 🍱

Quick chicken ramen

It’s never too late to unleash the full potential of your common packet noodles. Ramen is perfect for every season but tastes especially good on those colder days when you feel like warm food to keep you feeling cosy. When you’re making this at home, make sure to add the chicken after plating the ramen to prevent it from getting soggy. 🍜

Juicy classic burger

Anyone can make a burger at home, right? While it doesn’t take much to put a patty between two buns, you can always find new ways to add a little va va voom to this takeout alternative. How? Try adding in caramelised onions, mushroom sauce, pickles, smoked paprika mayo sauce, double the amount of cheese and more! 🍔
