Falafel Feast: 7 Spots for Falafel in Malta 🧆

Falafel Feast: 7 Spots for Falafel in Malta 🧆

Did you know it’s Falafel Day today? This dish is popular amongst vegetarians and vegans, but it’s so delicious that even meat-eaters love it! The falafel mixture is quite similar to that of hummus. Chickpeas, garlic, tahini, and cumin are the identical ingredients between the two, but falafel has a few more additions: parsley, cilantro, onion, and coriander. 👌

Wanna grab a bite of good falafel in Malta? Check these 6 spots out:

Hassan Falafel & Fatayer

One of the best spots for falafel in Malta is definitely Hassan Falafel & Fatayer in Gzira. This place focuses on Syrian food and makes incredible falafel, as well as mini pies called fatayer.

Mevlana Kebab

This one’s definitely one of my favourite places for Turkish food in Malta. Mevlana Kebab is located in Zabbar and their falafel is delicious, just like everything else on their menu! 😋

Danny’s

Everything at Danny’s is mouth-watering, and the falafel is obviously nothing less. You can get the Homemade Crispy Falafel, with 4 pieces of falafel on a bed of tahini yoghurt, drizzled with herb oil and harissa oil, or you can get the Homemade Falafel Salad. 🧆

Falafel Street

The name itself is quite an indicator here. The falafel at Falafel Street is awesome, and the best thing is that you can find them in more than one location around Malta! 😍

Are you a falafel fan?

Ali Baba

This iconic Lebanese restaurant in Gzira serves killer traditional Lebanese dishes. You can get the falafel as a nice, warm mezze at Ali Baba, alongside some other delicious options. 🤤

Emma’s Kitchen

Whether you want the Falafel Pita, the Falafel Salad, the Buddha Bowl, or you just want falafel as a starter or side, you have to check out Emma’s Kitchen. It’s a lovely little spot in San Gwann and their food is simply amazing! 🤩

Kebab Ji

This Sliema spot serves some authentic Lebanese food, including their beautiful falafel dishes. At Kebab Ji, you can get your falafel in a wrap, in a pita, or in a plate with your choice of salads and sauces. 🥙
