Easy Pies to make for dinner tonight 🥧

Easy Pies to make for dinner tonight 🥧

Is it just me or do those pies in animated movies look so good they make you want to jump in the kitchen and bake a dozen of them? 🥧

Pies are comforting, filling and outright delicious. While most of us can hardly say no to pie for dinner during the wintertime, the reality is that most of us don’t quite have the time to prep and bake this type of food, especially on weekdays.

For this reason, I’ll be giving you a list of some simple pies you’re going to want to make this week (without worrying about spending too much time in the kitchen too). Here are my best picks:

Crunchy Puff Pastry Chicken Pie

We all know that leftovers aren’t all that bad when you’re short of cooking time. Next time you’re making chicken, make sure to save some of the pieces and sauce for this yummy recipe. I really do think that puff pastry happens to work so well with chicken pies - there’s just something about the cream and the texture of the pie that tastes amazing. 🐔

Make-do Hamburger Pie

We all love a meat pie once in a while. The thing about meat pies, however, is that it takes quite a bit of time to prepare the meat by cutting it and seasoning it properly. When in doubt, substituting ground beef or steak for a hamburger is the easy (yet still delicious) way out. When it comes to vegetables, onions, garlic and carrots work really well here. 🤔

Indian Style Potato Pie

Spice, spice, and more spice! This vegetarian pie is easy to make and is perfect for anyone who loves a little extra flavour in anything they eat. The great thing about this pie is how versatile it is - it can be eaten hot or cold, it can be as spicy as you like it, and it can be vegetarian (unless you’d like to substitute the potatoes for chicken). 🥔

Fresh Fish Pie

Whether it’s lampuki season or not, it’s always a good time to cook up a fine fish pie for yourself and the ones at home. Tuna and spinach pie is a well-loved favourite, but any type of fish will do if you’re up for pairing it with the right vegetables. More often than not, spinach, peas, broccoli, onions and olives taste fantastic when paired with fish. 🐟

Simple Ham, Cheese and Mushroom Pie

Because why not? You might not want to serve this pie the next time you’re hosting a dinner party. But if you’re in the mood for some comfort food that takes little time to make, try filling your pie with these ingredients. You won’t regret it! 🍄
