Autumn Meals that will make you Fall in Love 🍂

Autumn Meals that will make you Fall in Love 🍂

We can all agree that it’s always a good time to eat some exquisite food. But when it’s cold outside and you want to treat yourself after a long day, there’s nothing like a delicious, warming plate of food. With the season of autumn in full swing, We're giving a shout-out to the best food season of the year with my favourite appetising autumn food that we continuously love to eat.

Chicken Fricassee

In the mood for something homey and delicious? Try this. A fricassee is a type of cooking method by which the meat is cut up, braised and served with its sauce. It is halfway between a sauté and a stew. The sauce generally consists of chicken broth and cream, as well as a mixture of vegetables including mushrooms, onions and carrots. Serve this with a side of sweet potato wedges and you’ll want to add this to your once-a-week-(minimum)-meals. 🐔

Classic English Steak and Ale Pie

Thinking about eating a pie during the colder seasons reminds me of those family dinners; sharing good food while making Christmas plans. 😊

This perfect pie will get you right in the mood to stay home with loved ones and eat autumn food all day long. This classic pie is known and loved all throughout the UK, especially because of the succulent combination of the steak and the ale. The perfect steak and ale pie is very juicy on the inside.

Pumpkin, Beef and Black Bean Chilli

A pumpkin centred recipe is mandatory in autumn. This chilli bowl is not only packed with flavour and easy to make, it’s also perfect for fall, what with all its dark colours and spicy flavours. If you do decide to try this out, serve it with a side of cheesy nachos on the side for the perfect midweek comfort food. 🐮

French Onion Soup

This delicate dish has the ability to make anybody fall in love with soups. It is typically made with a beef stock base, slow-cooked caramelised onions, French bread, Gruyère and Parmesan cheese. It’s both comforting as it is mouthwatering, and it is perfect for anybody who just can never resist the strong taste of caramelised onions and cheese. 🧀

Pecan/Pumpkin Pie

In America, they love to serve these divine desserts for Thanksgiving dinner. Variations of pecan pies and pumpkin pies mostly include some nuts, maple syrup and autumny cinnamon. When served with a side of whipped cream, you simply won’t resist a slice of either pie (or maybe one of each). 🎃
