Bubble tea is a Taiwanese drink that made its way to our local shores a while back but never really rocked the boat enough to keep thriving. In the last couple of years though, with Tea Fusion’s re-introduction to the local scene, bubble tea has taken Sliema, more specifically The Plaza, by storm. 😋

Bubble tea features a few core ingredients, all of which are customisable to meet every flavour palette out there. Start with your tea option, choose between the classic fragrant black tea or the antioxidant green tea alternative, this will serve as your base, to which a dairy or non-dairy milk option can be added - you can also choose to give the milk a miss, it’s up to you! 🥛

Referred to as a general term for the bits hanging out at the base of your bubble tea, boba is technically the flavour filled spheres that we all order simply to pop in our mouths and get a wee thrill out of it!
