Wrap it Up: Delicious combos to put in a wrap 🌯

Wrap it Up: Delicious combos to put in a wrap 🌯

Cooler weather calls for more comforting lunches and dinners, and since temperatures are dropping in Malta, we’re here to give you some inspiration for quick, easy, yet cosy lunches. 😍

Wraps are definitely one of the many options for quick and easy lunches, but deciding what to put in them can wreck your brain. Check out these super delicious combinations that taste amazing in wraps! 🌯

Spiced chickpeas and tzatziki

This combination is a mix of contrasting flavours that is both refreshing and comforting. Coat the chickpeas in a spice mix of cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and some cayenne if you like a bit of spice. Roast them in the oven at 180°C for around 15-20 minutes and add them to a wrap together with some tzatziki, tomatoes and spinach leaves (or any greens you like). ✌️

For the tzatziki, you can either buy a ready-made one or make your own using greek yoghurt, shredded cucumber (strained from excess water), lemon juice, dill and garlic. If you’re not a fan of tzatziki, you can also add coleslaw instead. 😋

Feta cheese, cucumber and hummus

This combo is super delicious! A mix of feta cheese (especially the one marinated in garlic and herbs), cucumber slices and hummus is the bomb. You can also add some kalamata olives and chickpeas here, or some green leaves and tomatoes. 🍅

Chicken and pesto

This one is for the pesto lovers. Cook some diced chicken breast (or thighs for extra flavour) in a pan with garlic, salt, pepper, and your favourite spices. Then either add the pesto to the pan to coat all of the chicken with it or slather your wrap with a good spoonful of pesto. 🤤

Add some parmesan shavings and a few tomato slices and wrap it all up! 💪

Wraps or sandwiches?

Smoked salmon and avocado

This is probably one of the easier options. All you have to do is mash some avocado (or slice it, whatever), drizzle some lemon juice on top and season with salt and pepper, add that to the wrap and top it with smoked salmon slices. 🐟

You can add a drizzle of mayo if you want a saucy element to your wrap. Tomatoes, green leaves, cabbage, and cucumber are all nice additions to this combo. 👌

Tofu and spicy peanut sauce

I absolutely LOVE spicy peanut sauce! It’s incredibly delicious and so easy to make. The quick version is a combination of peanut butter, soy sauce, honey (or maple or agave syrup), and sriracha (don’t add sriracha if you don’t want it to be spicy). 🌶️

Marinade the tofu in your fav mix of spices for a minimum of 20 minutes and cook it in a pan or an air-fryer. Then add it to the wrap and drizzle some of the peanut sauce on top. Add your favourite veggies and you’re all set! 😎

Scrambled eggs, avocado and cucumber

Are you a fan of breakfast food? Then scramble a couple of eggs and place them on top of the wrap, top up with chopped or sliced cucumber and mashed avocado and close the wrap. That’s it! 🤩

If you want to add more stuff, go for either cheese, bacon bits, tomatoes, green leaves, vegetables, a mix of peppers… or just all of them combined. 🤷

What’s your favourite filling to put in a wrap? Will you be trying any of the above out? Let us know in the comments! 👇
